Conscious Growth Club Q&A and Meet Your Future Friends

Apr 29, 2020

On Thursday I’m hosting a public Q&A call for people who are considering joining Conscious Growth Club this year.

We’ll do some live Q&A on the call, and I also thought it would be fun if any current CGC members want to be on the call too. I invited them to join us, so if some of them decide to attend, you could meet some of the members too.

If they’re amenable, we could invite some members to chat about what it’s like to be in CGC and share tips and advice for prospective members. We’ll do what we can to make it easier for you to decide if you’re a good match for joining.

The call will be done webinar style, so only the hosts (Rachelle and me) and any CGCers who want to share about their experiences would be sharing live on video. So feel free to show up in your PJs if you like since you won’t have to share your video.

We’ll record this call too, so we can also share it with people who can’t make it live. I should be able to get the recording posted on Thursday as well.

We’ll also have an open text chat on the call, just like we do on CGC coaching calls, and like we did on the Deep Abundance Integration live calls. So you’re welcome to chat it up with other prospective and current members and interact with them throughout the call.

The call will be on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 11:11am Pacific time.

Here’s the link to register for the call if you want to join us:

We’ve set it to be a 90-min call, but I’ll keep going for as long as people keep asking questions and we still have energy.

If you know anyone who’s thinking about joining CGC and would like to ask questions about it or potentially meet some of our members on the call, feel free to share this post with them.

We’ve never done this before, so it’ll be an experiment, but explore is one of our values, and so is align, so I think it’s a nice way to explore if this can help some people with alignment. 🙂

I’d recommend watching the Conscious Growth Club invitation video first, but it’s okay to join us on the call either way.

See you on Thursday! Here’s the link to register for the call again:

Conscious Growth Club Opens on April 27, 2020

Apr 20, 2020

Our annual opening of Conscious Growth Club – where we open the doors for new members to join us – will be April 27 to May 1, 2020. So. we’ll have a 5-day opening (Mon-Fri), starting a week from today.

If you don’t join within that time, you’ll have to wait till next year for the opportunity to come around again.

I’ll share an invitation video on April 27 with all the details.

If you’d like to be notified when the doors open, be sure to join the notification list on the Conscious Growth Club web page, and I’ll send you an email when we open.

CGC currently has 150 members, and we’re about to begin our 4th year together. It’s a private community where we all help and support each other to stretch ourselves, to improve our results, and to live in greater alignment with our personal values and standards.

Digital Fringe Theater

Mar 25, 2020

Here’s a nice adaptation for taking theater online and creating an opportunity to support the artists.

I love Fringe Festivals and have seen 200+ Fringe plays since 2010, mostly in Canada. Maybe I enjoyed it a little too much since I married one of the performers. 😉

From artist Chase Pajittles:

Well #DigitalFringe is here! 10 Fringe shows you can watch on any screen whenever you want. Use the promo code Fringe50 to get 50% off! All proceeds go to the artists!

This was a labor of love. I got to use my tech brain to help give other artists solid video of their live work and in the process maybe provide a little bit of income during this very strange time. Watch and share, my friends!

Check out a show or two or ten. It’s way more fun than Netflix. 🙂

Some Coronavirus Predictions

Mar 20, 2020

The USA is currently reporting 16,796 coronavirus cases. Based on the growth curve I’m seeing, I predict we’ll pass 100,000 cases in about 1 week. And I predict that we’ll pass 1,000,000 cases in about 2 weeks (from today).

If we move to total countrywide lockdown immediately, we can slow this, and we must. Each day we wait is a huge mistake.

Note that 1 week ago we were at 2247 cases, and 2 weeks ago we were at 319 cases.

Where we are today is still early, early, early game for the virus. If we don’t lock down right away, we’re looking at tens of millions of infected within a month.

Here’s a shorter prediction: I predict that we’ll pass 50,000 reported cases for the USA in just 4 days, sometime on Tuesday, March 24. This could happen sooner though if there’s a significant increase in testing.

All Vegas Casinos and Hotels Closed

Mar 17, 2020

Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak announced tonight that all Nevada casinos, hotels, and more businesses must close. So the Las Vegas Strip is effectively going dark.

This also includes closing all bars, gyms, beauty salons, barber shops, malls, and restaurants that don’t do takeout and delivery.

I’m glad he did this because while some casinos like Wynn and MGM Resorts properties announced that they were closing, others declared that they were going to stay open but with reduced operations – a huge mistake that would have only cost more lives. So I’m grateful that our Governor shut that down today.

Fast Adaptation From a Fitness Studio

Mar 17, 2020

TruFusion is the local fitness studio that Rachelle and I joined a little over three weeks ago. We love the studio but stopped going to classes a week ago due to the virus situation, and they decided to shutter their locations not long after that. Today I got an email from them sharing that they’re already starting online classes on Wednesday. Now that’s fast!

They provided members like me with a login and password to their website, and so far it lists 4 online classes starting tomorrow afternoon: 2 flow yoga classes and 2 pilates classes.

The local studio was running up to 240 classes a week (65+ different types of classes in 5 different rooms). So they might be able to add more online classes as well. I hope they do.

Of course not all classes can be done from home since they require equipment, but a lot of their workouts could be adapted for online instruction. I especially hope they add a yin yoga class since that was among my favorites.

I’m impressed to say the least. I’m sharing this because I think it’s a beautiful example of a positive adaptation under trying circumstances.
